Wire EDM

At Atlanta EDM, we have some of the fastest Wire EDM machines in the business with our Clean-Cut Technology. Made for speed, our 3R stainless and ground tooling allows us to completely prepare your parts outside of the machine in one of several pre-load stations. The part is set and indicated in, and the code is generated before it ever enters the machine, so no valuable machine-time is wasted which provides you with considerable cost and time savings.

Our Wire EDM machines cut any conductive material from the thickness of tinfoil all the way to 16” thick of hardened A-2 tool steel! We generally run .010” diameter wire brass wire, but other wire diameters we frequently use include .004”, .006” and .008”. Additionally, rigid preventive maintenance and cleaning schedules guarantee clean, efficient machines that yield consistent results without losing speed and accuracy or facing unexpected failures.

Regularly manufacturing products for the surgical and aerospace industry, we maintain the highest standard for product and document/certification control. Ask us about our ISO9001:2000 registration. All Wire EDM machines have logged, daily preventive maintenance as well as a master log including all updates and predicted wear. Machines are cleaned and have a level 1 inspection every 40 hours, a level 2 inspection every 250 hours as well as a level 3 maintenance completed annually by the manufacturer to ensure consistency and quality.
